| Hospital Affiliations: Dr. Benitez has priviliges at North Florida Regional Medical Center and Shands at AGH. After you give birth to your baby Dr. Benitez will see him/her within 24 hours of the delivery. She will continue to check on your child once a day for the remainder of your stay in the hospital. |
| After Hours Clinic: Dr. Benitez is a participating member of Pediatrics After Hours. Peds After Hours is a convenient way to reach a pediatrician in case your child becomes sick and needs medical attention after normal office hours. Visitng costs are the same as office visits and you do not have to hassle with the frustration or prices of the emergency room, which is where many doctors will send you after hours. Pediatrics After Hours consists of pediatricians from around Gainesville who take turns receiving phone calls and practicing in the clinic. There is not a guarantee that you will be seen by Dr. Benitez, but you will be seen by an established, trustworthy pediatrics specialist. Only patients seen by the participating doctors are eligible for this service. Please be advised Pediatrics After Hours sees patients by appointment only. They do not accept walk ins.
